A Typical Sunday Service
ViewPoint is a Pentecostal church and this is reflected in our service. Our worship is dynamic and heart-felt and we provide the Holy Spirit the liberty to have His way. We are also mindful of the Scriptural admonish that things should be done "decently and in order" and so the typical order of our service is as follows:
- Upon arrival you will be greeted by one of our smiling ushers who are available to answer any questions you may have.
- We begin our service with a time of worship through music. Several instruments and singers help to lead the congregation in song. Our song service will typically last for 30-45 minutes. We encourage singing, clapping, and raising of hands during this time.
- There is a transition time between the music and preaching during which time announcements are made and an opportunity to give to the church in tithes and offering is made available. Instead of passing a basket for giving, ViewPoint places giving baskets at the front of the church sanctuary and during the transition time congregants are encouraged to spend a few moments greeting one anther and placing their gifts in the baskets.
- The preaching at ViewPoint is solid and sound as it always centers around the inspired Scriptures. The sermon will typically last from 30-45 minutes and will be followed by a time of dedication when congregants are encouraged to come to the front of the church to the "altar". During this time they may receive prayer for individual needs or simply spend time in consecration and dedication to the Lord.
Children's Ministry
A Nursery Room is available for parents during the entirety of the service. Upon completion of the music service and the start of the preaching the Nursery is staffed with caring and qualified workers who are willing to care for children up to the age of 4.
A Children's Church is available for children ages 5-11 upon completion of the music service and at the start of the preaching. The children will learn from God's Word under the watch of carefully selected workers that have a loving heart and servant's attitude. There are videos, games, puppets, songs and many other methods employed in the teaching of Biblical truths.
